Bits, Pieces and a FREEBIE!!!!! :D :D :D

Hai! *waves profusely*

I am Bituwin, better known as Bit (cause it's easier to pronounce), I have established myself to be a bit of a shape shifter, skin whore, freebie queen, animation addict, happy-go-lucky-twirly girl. I have done a LOT of stuff on SL, after being on here for about four years combined (2 years and 9 months on my previous av PLUS 1 year and 5 months..yeah that's like ALOT but not compared to others though :P) I decided to discover the link between Photoshop and SL.

My very first creation was a brown Tee with swirls on it!!! :D Which marked the start of my very very very very very first store! It was an awesome grungey small neko inspired store , that was pretty much the first kind of style I was introduced to. I did other things that followed that, like building furniture, hosting, dj'ing and offering makeovers :D Somewhere along the way, while I was running around doing all that stuff I met these two fabbity-fab girls who decided to run around with me :D. We've been great friends ever since :D We have run around SL offering makeovers to those who want them, checking out the latest styles, and shopping together!

One morning I woke up and found that they have started a blog! I thought of starting one before but never really got around to doing it...so YAY!!! And I have been given the task of creating something and then putting it up for sale...it can be anywhere from 0L-50L but since I'm 100% scatterbrain I might actually blog about other stuff...such as avatar shapes that I've created before, and yes, I promise to find matching freebie or cheap skins to go along with them, and some cheap style tips for different looks as well, to name a few.

For this first entry, I've decided to let you guys know how it feels to live like us cheap girls by giving away our Boho Girl Pad as a FREEBIE!!!!!! Yush! That's right! You get it for ZERO LINDEN!!! Our home comes with three platforms, three Bohemian rugs, vintage posters on the walls and three huge photo frames you can personalize yourself! There are curtains that separate two rooms downstairs just in case you want a laundry room OR a little cuddle nook with your honey. It's also equipped with a great rugged NYC scenery!

I made it so that you can see from the outside in but can see the scenery from the inside :D

I also included a few surprises with our skybox :D all you have to do is tp to our little cloud and it will be waiting for you there. Come get it before it disappears!! :D :D

And so the Hunt Begins!

Well, I did it! Kind of. Halfway. Which is usually how I do most things, curious enough. But before I get into what I've done let me first introduce myself a little bit. I am Kaytee, the hunting part of this little blogstravanganza, and despite your best efforts, no, I will not pay you 50 linden for my account subscription. I really had someone ask me that! For serious! So for all you newbies out there (I won't call you n00bs, cause that wouldn't be nice. We're all new at one point, after all) you do not have to pay any amount of LINDENS for your account. In fact, if you use our helpful advice you won't even have to pay real money! Anyway, I said all of that to tell you that I'm not new. Because while my birthdate on my profile may be from just last month I have actually had a long running career in SL, most of which has been spent with Moxy and Bituwin by my side(s). To most we're the infamous three and yes, we will critique your fashion and then swiftly encourage you to let us make you over. :D

So on to my first half-accomplishment! I say half though really it's not even to the halfway point. Just a few days ago (on the 15th to be exact) the Fashion is Love Hunt began! I braved the lag and while it discouraged me for three days I abandoned the Emerald viewer and went old school to finish the first fourteen stores! I love hunts. I love the clever riddles that clever people come up with. I love camming and zooming and manipulating the sim to get the best possible view of the hunt item. and I definitely love love love opening the boxes at the end of the day in my super chic skybox while my girls watch and ogle my loot! Unfortunately only about a quarter (maybe a third?) of the stores have provided clues. Which is cool! Make it easy! But....they....don't. I had to look under benches, ask the group chat, and pull my hair out to find a few of them. But don't be discouraged, friends, that group chat is there for a reason so utilize it! Which means that you should join the group, a crucial first step for anyone new to hunting. So how about we get a look at some of my highlights from the first day of the hunt!

This first grab is a super cute underwear set from LeeL! I could probably even be used as a bathing suit if you wanted but there's a bit of a lopsided wedgie in the back (love!!) that might draw some attention. Then again, the more attention the better, right? The adorable hearts new the hip bone is a bodyart from Tik Tok. It's something I will certainly be wearing during those summer outings. It is summertime, after all.

This next one comes from my most favorite store ever!!!! ...Okay, so I really shouldn't be biased but what can I say?! Ducknipple is amazing. I could walk into that store and buy absolutely every single thing in there if I was a bazillindenaire. The shirt is the only thing from the hunt in this picture and, like I said, it was in Ducknipple. I do have to say, as a throwback to my no hints comment, that this was the easiest hintless location. It was out in the open, right like it should be when there is no hint. :) Oh Ducknipple, my love.... It doesn't have to do with the hunt but the stockings as well as the shorts were both freebies I found on SL Exchange. I will only touch on it for a minute but it is amazing. The Flea Market of secondlife. And tons of free stuffs.

This one is probably my most favorite. What we're looking at here is the dress and the necklace. The dress was the first prize of the day and is from the start location LP Design! I did recently discover, though, that there are two prizes there so search hard! Cause I didn't get both of them yet. The necklace is a jewel found in Garage, right across the way from the start location! There are also two there, the other one being the skin featured in the first picture!

And that's it! There are obviously several more things I got but I'm going to leave a little bit of surprise for you all. I'll be coming to you in a few more days with more amazing hunt items! Until next time, hunters!

yummy cupcakes & stuff!

I planned this post, so it won't be so scatter-brained. :P My week continues to be abysmally boring, so I've spent the day shopping and taking pictures, all for joo.

I saw that Hyper Culture was having a 50% off EVERYTHING sale and spent a while in there. On the table near the front there are some little dollarbie and...ten-dollarbie? boxes. The 10 L one is 10 poses and the 1 L one is full of these four t-shirts.

I think they're pretty cool. Be sure to check out the sale!


I have a few new favorite stores, but my words will never do them as much justice as they deserve, so I'll let their clothes do the talking. Observe.




I popped into Actchio in search of the lacy tights I had seen on a friend, and it's a good thing I joined the group first because what would they give me but lacy tights!! Emerald ones, to be exact. While I was there I saw the lotus tattoo pictured above and absolutely couldn't turn it down for a mere 30 L. I'm not a big tattoo girl, in RL or SL, but this one is cute and at that price, why the hell not?!


Since I'm using Glitterati's photobooth to pose, which is probably some brand of illegal or at least kind of trampy of me :P, I'll tell you that the sale going on there right now is fabulous! I picked up the free stuff, including a fence to pose with, and plan on going back for some poses before I have to start duplicating mine. :P

Also, the skirt here is Doux Couture, which I think I've mentioned already. If you put the group in your picks and then 'yummy' the cupcake, it'll give you free stuff. I got this skirt, another top, and a mini from that. You can do it every five minute.


Now for my favorite store right now--Yummy. I mentioned Tableau in an earlier post, and if you haven't been there yet--SRSLY. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. Every shop there is fashion gold, not to mention what a cool sim it is. It's like an old Western meets a Route 66 ghost town.





Yummy is this amazing little accessory store I was introduced to the other day. I now have two of their necklaces, a large round vintage locket and this one, which is an eclectic mix of charms.






Here's a close-up. My only beef with Yummy is that they don't have more stuff for me to drool at!!!


Another sim I wandered around in today was the Cupcake Sim, which is cute and trendy and full of great stores such as lamb and Bingo, which I wasn't familiar with until now. They're a great store. Why am I telling you this? Because they have a free dress and free poses available ;).

I will also take this time to pine over something which will never make it into this blog unless by an act of God (or a merciful act of the owner of the store) because of their price: PORNSTARS. No, not the plasticy gross real ones. The shoes!!! I WANT THEM. I miiiight get their cupcake rainboots, not for functionality since srsly you don't need rainboots in SL, but because they are SO DANG CUTE! But their sneakers are the ones that everyone really wants, myself included. Omg high tops! But at 549 L, I won't be buying them any time soon. :(


If only they would have a sale! If the owner of the store is reading this, could I trade my soul maybe?

Two skins to bring to you today, both of which I love. The first is from Leafy, which I was introduced to by a friend yesterday. I owe this one to Kaytee, because I wouldn't have even noticed the lucky chair with a giant 'M' on it if she hadn't pointed it out to me. All her hours of searching for tiny swirlies or hearts on hunts have given her the sight of a jaguar. Or something else that has very keen eyesight. (In this analogy, I am the T Rex. If you're holding still, I won't see you).




The skin is called Fire Engine and is well worth camping out to get.

Also, there's a table of freebie skins and some dollarbies and what-not at Leafy, so be sure to snatch them up.

Now for the second skin. This one has been blogged all up and down already, and is at least several days old--so I'm not claiming to be breaking the news on this one. I'm just sayin' it's cute.




In fact, it's more than cute. I love it. The lips are unique and the eyes are exotic, and Imabee came on my radar when they put it out.


The dress in this picture is another that's been all over the SL freebie blog-o-sphere--the freebies from Badoura Designs. If you haven't got to them already, don't waste a minute. There are like seven freebies there, all just for joining. Also, two lucky boards if I remember correctly.

popping the blog cherry

This blog is no longer a virgin. Now I guess we should snuggle for a few hours, get to know each other. HI! I'm Moxy. Once upon a time (aka like two hours ago) I decided that my friends and I should start an SL fashion blog. My summer is painfully boring, and I'm spending more and more time shopping on SL, and have been following the fabulous blogs of Free*Style (my fave!!), Demina Fashion, and as of today, SL-a-Porter, and figured I ought to share what I find on SL with the world.

Everything we share will fall into one of two categories: FREE or CHEAP. I define cheap as anything under about 250 Linden. Between the three of us, hopefully we'll be able to bring you a bunch of various types of stuff. Bit is the Queen of Quirky, Kaytee is the Queen of Finding Everything On Every Hunt Ever, and I...well, I'm sort of the Queen of Changing My Clothes Five Times A Day. Which means having lots of clothes. xD

So! To start off, I wandered around my favorite place, Tableau, and found the perfect setting to show off this new free outfit from Happy Finds.

First I'll introduce my pretty much default boots, one of the giant haul of group gifts which are probably still available at *COCO*. TP there, walk into the right building, veer right and go to the wall. That whole wall is a line of freebies for joining the group. Happy Finds is an amazing store, the kind I would break my bank on in RL. Unfortunately, it is a little over what I let myself pay, so the only thing I've gotten there so far is this free outfit.

It's near the front of the store, you can't miss it. Also check out their gorgeous vintage necklaces while you're at it. They inspired me to scour ebay for something similar--with no luck, of course.

Now to tell you about one of my absolute favorite stores, !OHMAI. Go there if for no other reason than to see the place, which is like a mini theme park of cartoon piggy awesomeness. But that is not the only reason to go there--for they also have a free white version of half the stuff they sell. A couple of my favorites are below.

I paired this white racerback tank and white cardigan (both !ohmai's) with my new skirt from doux couture, which is a fantastic store which I'll be highlighting in my next post. Also, a 30 L -- you heard right!! - 30 L hair from [kik]hair! This place screams Agyness Deyn to me, and I love it. There's a freebie hair, a lucky board hair which I haven't won yet, and a table in the back of 30 L hairs!!

On a random other note - I guess now is a good time to tell you that I think that inserting links and pictures is a stupidly long process. All the stores I mention should be searchable on SL, and if you can't find it, just comment and we'll link you then! :)

I love this dress. It's another !ohmai white freebie. I LOVE YOU, OHMAI!!! Seriously. With it is the freebie hair from [kik]hair.
